The current manual allows up to three children and a maximum combined load of 500 lb (227 kg). Adult supervision is required, and the installation must pass the manual's load test before use.

It can hang from a suitable healthy tree branch, a compatible play structure, or a Trelines line. For a tree installation, the manual recommends a branch about 10 inches (25 cm) in diameter; additional chain, links, or fasteners may be required for your mounting point.

A two-point attachment produces a more traditional side-to-side path. A one-point attachment lets the swing move in a circle and in multiple directions, so your choice affects both the ride and the clearance the swing needs.

The side ropes are adjustable. The manual recommends a seat height around 14–18 inches (36–45 cm), depending on the rider, while also requiring the full installation clearances and an impact-absorbing surface below.

You receive the 40-inch swing with its frame and suspension ropes, plus two line clips and two carabiners. Hardware needed to adapt it to a particular branch or play structure may be separate.

Inspect the ropes, frame, protective coverings, and connectors throughout the play season. Take the swing down during winter or extended non-use, clean it with mild soap and water, and store it indoors once dry.
